COL Theory & Lesson PlanningThe lessons that teachers write and teach today go hand in hand with the nine steps of instruction that Gagne mentioned in his theory. While creating a lesson plan we first have to consider the students that we have in the classroom. This way we know how to differentiate. When writing the lesson and teaching it we start off by hooking the student, we then state the objective, teach, guide students, students will then engage in independent practice, provide immediate feed back, assess students knowledge and have an extension for students to do at home.

This video shows how teachers can apply the COL theory into class lessons. |
